Greif had no grief with their new flooring
Founded in 1877, Greif has become the world leader in industrial packaging products and services. After a fire at their EU manufacturing facility, a new enlarged warehouse storage facility was sourced at short notice in the UK, at their Ellesmere Port site, to provide steel drums, plastic drums and closures. The proposed ex-production area required upgrading before use, but on a tight budget as it was only to be used as temporary facility.
However, it was essential that the stock was not contaminated by dust whilst awaiting transportation as the drum closures were very sensitive to contamination. With the addition of time constraints to avoid a world shortage of drums, a fast cost effective solution was provided by Gallagher’s.
In just 3 days, machine footprints and joint repairs were attended to by using fast cure epoxy repair systems, specialist floor preparation by enclosed vacuum blast tracking was required. Installation of a Single Pack Alkyd Resin floor paint in BS 00 A 05 grey and BS 14 C 39 green, safety lining and lettering provided the dust proof, attractive floor finish – as always on time and to budget.
Mr Chris Smith (Manager) was delighted saying "This was the second floor refurbished for us in 12 months. An excellent service both from the lads doing the job and the office staff behind them."
